Lahore: (RightNow) Following the call for PTI’s Islamabad march and sit-in, 37 PTI members and local leaders have been arrested in Lahore. Police report that the arrested include sisters of PTI’s founder.

Police sources have stated that 29 individuals have been detained for 30 days. Additionally, 4 leaders have been arrested in connection with the May 9 cases. The detentions are under the 3 MPO (Maintenance of Public Order).

Police have prepared lists of active members and have commenced operations. Raids are ongoing for further arrests.

These arrests are part of the government’s efforts to maintain law and order. Measures are being taken to prevent any untoward incidents during the march.

It is noteworthy that PTI has announced a sit-in and march against the government in Islamabad, increasing tensions between the government and the opposition.
