New York: (RightNow) Twitter has launched the X Number feature. This allows users to connect on the social media platform without sharing phone numbers.

This feature is available for X Chat users, where they will receive a private code. Through this code, they can contact people they do not follow.

The company states that messages using the X Number will go directly to the inbox. Users can also make calls, depending on the other person’s call settings.

This feature is optional, allowing users to turn it on or off at their discretion. The code can be refreshed to generate a new one.

It is noteworthy that the X Chat app was introduced in April, aiming to compete with WhatsApp.
