London: (RightNow) England has selected 24-year-old fast bowler Henry Crocombe for the ODI series against Sri Lanka. The Sussex bowler secured his place in the national team after achieving hat-tricks in consecutive County Championship matches.

Crocombe took hat-tricks against Somerset and Essex, leading to his inclusion in the team. This season has been remarkable for him. He was also included in the team for the second Test against New Zealand in June.

Meanwhile, Derbyshire batter Aneurin Donald has been included in the T20 series squad. Donald scored 489 runs in 12 matches during the T20 Blast.

All-rounder Jacob Bethell is recovering from a knee injury, while Ben Duckett has returned to the T20 squad. The three-match T20 series begins on September 15, with the first ODI scheduled for September 22.
