Mumbai: (RightNow) Known as Junior Amitabh Bachchan, child star Master Ravi achieved fame in Bollywood at a young age. Starting at age 4, he acted in over 300 films by the age of 14. However, he later left acting to focus on the hotel and corporate sectors.

Master Ravi, whose real name is Ravi Valecha, was a popular child actor in the 1980s. He worked in films in nine languages and played Amitabh Bachchan’s childhood roles. During that era, he earned between 3,000 to 3,500 rupees daily.

Reports suggest that after an interesting meeting with Shashi Kapoor, he got a role in the film ‘Fakira’. He played Shabana Azmi’s son, marking the start of his film career.

It is noteworthy that Ravi began thinking like an adult at a young age, affecting his childhood. After leaving the film industry, he pursued culinary arts and became a professional chef.

Ravi Valecha is now the head of the administration department at a renowned company and plans to establish a film institute. He is also passionate about becoming a pilot and is training at the Bombay Flying Club.
