Tehran: (RightNow) Iran’s Red Crescent Society has approached the International Court for an investigation into a US missile strike in the southern province of Hormozgan. The attack occurred in the city of Kouhestak, Sirik County.

Officials report that the strike on a residential building disrupted a wedding ceremony, resulting in 5 deaths and 65 injuries. Among the deceased was a child.

The Red Crescent states that if no military target is proven, the attack could be classified as a war crime.

Iran has requested the ICC to preserve evidence and conduct an impartial investigation. The attack is considered a violation of international law.

It is noteworthy that US-Iran relations have always been tense, and this attack has further escalated tensions.
