Switzerland: (RightNow) Swiss gardener Jürg Wiesli has set a Guinness World Record by growing a 1 foot 8.6-inch long chili pepper. This marks his third time achieving the world record for the longest chili pepper.

Wiesli first set a world record in October 2017 by growing a 1 foot 5.7-inch long chili. This chili was measured at a vegetable competition held in Jona.

In 2018, Wiesli broke his own record by growing a 1 foot 7.9-inch long chili. The measurement for this chili was taken on August 11.

According to Jürg Wiesli, he plants chili seeds at 28 degrees Celsius every March and transfers them to the garden by the end of April.

It is noteworthy that Wiesli prepares the soil well by adding compost. He also uses balanced fertilizers and water to ensure better chili growth.
