Lahore: (RightNow) An inquiry report reveals over Rs 20 crore embezzlement at Chuhang Training College Lahore. The report indicates misappropriation in training fees, customs, meals, and canteen revenues.
According to the inquiry, Rs 16.9 crore were embezzled from training fees and customs, while Rs 3.1 crore were lost in meal and canteen revenues.
The report recommends criminal charges against contractor Yasir Ayub and accountant Shahbaz Khalid. Additionally, departmental action is suggested against DIG Mahboob Aslam Lillah and DSP Shahid Javed.
Inspector Muhammad Asghar, Makhdoom Hussain, Ashfaq Ahmed, and other officers are also recommended for departmental action. They are accused of signing bogus bills and making fake entries.
It is noteworthy that contractor Yasir Ayub allegedly prepared bills under six different company names to release funds. Authorities have made DIG Mahboob Aslam Lillah an OSD and suspended DSP Shahid Javed based on the report.
