Islamabad: (RightNow) The Pakistan Academy of Literature has announced that the Kamal-e-Fun Award 2025 will be presented to renowned Brahui writer Abdul Rehman Brahui. The announcement was made by Chairperson Professor Dr. Najeeba Arif.

The award includes a cash prize of 10 lakh rupees. The decision was made by a panel of judges, which included prominent intellectuals from across the country. The panel was chaired by Munir Ahmed Badini.

Munir Ahmed Badini stated that the contributions of Brahui language writers are a valuable asset to Pakistan’s literary landscape. He praised the efforts of the Academy of Literature.

He mentioned that under the leadership of Professor Dr. Najeeba Arif, writers from Balochistan have received recognition. Transparency was maintained in the selection of the awards.

It is noteworthy that the Pakistan Academy of Literature awards writers from various languages. National literary award winners receive a cash prize of 2 lakh rupees.
