Islamabad: (RightNow) Pakistan’s Foreign Office spokesperson has expressed concern over the tensions between Iran and the US and is maintaining contact for the implementation of the memorandum of understanding. Pakistan is playing its role in promoting dialogue between the two nations.

Spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andarabi stated in a weekly briefing that concerns over the security situation between Iran and the US persist. Despite a few days of peace in the region, the situation remains uncertain.

Pakistan has labeled India’s stance on the Kashmir dispute as contrary to facts. The Foreign Office welcomed efforts to resume talks between Iran and the US.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Saudi Crown Prince have agreed to continue cooperation for regional peace. Both leaders emphasized maintaining legal trade in the Red Sea and the Strait of Hormuz.

It is noteworthy that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have stressed the continuation of diplomacy for regional peace and stability. Pakistan has condemned the use of pellet guns in occupied Kashmir, and the matter is registered with the UN Human Rights Office.
