Islamabad: (RightNow) Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met with Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s Foreign Ministers’ meeting. The leaders discussed the evolving regional situation.

A Foreign Office spokesperson stated that the meeting reaffirmed the commitment to close and brotherly Pakistan-Iran relations. Ishaq Dar expressed deep concern over recent regional tensions.

Ishaq Dar emphasized the need for dialogue to ensure peace and stability, highlighting the importance of reducing tensions and understanding diplomatic connections.

According to the spokesperson, Ishaq Dar also stressed the effective implementation of the Islamabad MoU, aiming to advance cooperation further.

It is noteworthy that Pakistan and Iran have longstanding relations and both countries play a significant role in the region.
