New Delhi: (RightNow) Protests against the Modi government over leaked exam papers have spread from New Delhi to other Indian cities. Hundreds of young people have taken to the streets in Mumbai, Patna, Kerala, and Goa, demanding the resignation of the Education Minister.

The Kakroach Janata Party claims the exam paper leak is due to insufficient notice, calling the Education Minister and others incompetent. They allege corruption is rampant from top to bottom.

Sonam Wangchuk has decided to end his hunger strike after negotiations to prevent potential violence. He accuses BJP supporters of attempting to discredit the movement through stone-pelting.

Indian actress Shabana Azmi encouraged the youth by reciting Faiz Ahmed Faiz’s poem “Bol Ke Lab Azaad Hain Tere” during the protest.

It is noteworthy that the Kakroach Janata Party was formed in May following a controversial statement by Chief Justice Surya Kant.
