Gilgit: (RightNow) Governor Gilgit-Baltistan Syed Mehdi Shah approves the summary for a 12-member provincial cabinet on Chief Minister Amjad Hussain’s recommendation. The cabinet includes 8 ministers from the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and 4 from the Istehkam Pakistan Party (IPP).

According to the notification, the cabinet comprises 5 ministers from Baltistan Division, 5 from Gilgit Division, and 2 from Diamer Division. PPP ministers include Muhammad Ali Akhtar, Iqbal Hassan, Nasir Ali Khan, Syed Jalal, Muhammad Naseem, Syed Toqeer Mehdi, Nek Nam Karim, and Zulfiqar Murad.

IPP ministers Muhammad Dilpazeer, Aman Ali, Asad Shafiq, and Anwar Ali also join the cabinet. Departments will be allocated to cabinet members later.

Following the governor’s approval, an official notification regarding the cabinet formation has been issued. This move indicates a new direction for the administration of Gilgit-Baltistan.

It is noteworthy that the changes in Gilgit-Baltistan’s cabinet aim to ensure regional development and better governance, addressing public issues effectively.
