Sydney: (RightNow) Australia has announced a 13-member squad for the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh next month. Captain Pat Cummins, fast bowler Josh Hazlewood, and off-spinner Nathan Lyon have returned to the team after recovering from injuries.

Cricket Australia states that the return of Cummins, Hazlewood, and Lyon strengthens the bowling attack. These players missed several matches in the recent Ashes series due to injuries but are now fully fit.

All-rounder Michael Neser, who performed well in the Ashes series, is not included in the squad. Selectors have mentioned that Neser and other reserve players will be available if needed.

The two-match Test series between Australia and Bangladesh will commence on August 13. The first match will be held in Darwin from August 13 to 17, and the second in Mackay from August 22 to 26.

It is noteworthy that this series is part of the ICC World Test Championship 2025-27. The performance of teams in this championship plays a crucial role.
