Rawalpindi: (RightNow) Farrukh Khokhar, a leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, has appealed against his conviction in the murder case of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf worker Majid Satti. Khokhar has also requested the court to suspend his sentence and grant bail.

The Rawalpindi Bench of the High Court has accepted Khokhar’s appeal and bail request, demanding the case records within a week. Khokhar claims he was wrongly convicted as he was not present at the crime scene.

The High Court has issued notices to the plaintiff and the state prosecutor. The case is being heard by Justice Sadaqat Ali Khan of the Rawalpindi Bench.

This case is significant as it highlights disputes between political parties and raises questions about judicial decisions.

It is noteworthy that Farrukh Khokhar was convicted in the Majid Satti murder case, involving a key worker of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. The case is under trial in Rawalpindi court.
