Mumbai: (RightNow) Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has received death threats following reports that his third wife is Christian.
According to Indian media, Maharashtra Minister Nitesh Rane labeled Aamir Khan as the ‘brand ambassador of love jihad,’ a statement supported by Hindu extremist leader Jagadguru Paramhans Acharya.
The Hindu extremist leader announced a reward of INR 5 crore for anyone who kills Aamir Khan and offered to cover legal expenses.
In a recent interview, Aamir Khan revealed that his third wife, Gauri Esprit, is not Hindu but Christian. He mentioned that his marriages were civil, and his first two wives did not convert.
It is noteworthy that Aamir Khan’s first marriage to Reena Dutta in 1986 ended in 2002, and his second marriage to Kiran Rao in 2005 ended in 2021.
