Dubai: (RightNow) The International Cricket Council (ICC) board meeting resulted in several key decisions. New committees for governance and franchise cricket leagues have been established.

A Governance Review Committee has been set up to assess the governance system. Devajit Saikia will chair the committee, with Dr. Musa Ji and Dr. Rose Rewaj as members.

A Franchise League Committee has been formed to review franchise cricket leagues worldwide. The committee is chaired by Tamim Iqbal, with members including Dr. Rudy van Vuuren, Devajit Saikia, Richard Gould, and Todd Greenberg.

The meeting approved Mauritius as the 111th member of the ICC. A loan of $12.82 million was approved for the West Indies Cricket Board.

It is noteworthy that the ICC has approved conditions for the revival of Cricket Canada, but its suspension remains in place. France Cricket has been issued a notice for membership violations.
