Sahiwal: (Right Now News) The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has intensified its crackdown on illegal SIMs. The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency conducted an operation in Sahiwal, arresting a woman. During the operation, hundreds of active illegal SIMs were seized.
Initial investigations revealed that the suspect was part of a large illegal SIM network. A total of 329 illegal SIMs were recovered, belonging to all mobile companies. Evidence of SIM distribution in various cities was also found.
Authorities have registered a case against the suspect. Further investigations are underway to arrest other individuals involved in the network. Officials stated that this operation will reduce the supply of illegal SIMs.
This action was taken in response to the growing threat of illegal SIM usage in Pakistan. Illegal SIMs pose security risks, making these preventive measures essential.
