Lahore: (RightNow) Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan has appointed Salma Butt, a member of the provincial assembly, as a provincial minister. The official notification has been issued.

The appointment order was issued on October 21, 2026, under Article 132(1) of the Constitution. According to the document, Salma Butt is MPA W-307.

Under the order, Salma Butt must take an oath before the governor before assuming office. This oath will be taken according to Article 132(2) of the Constitution.

The Punjab Governor has signed the appointment order. After the oath-taking, Salma Butt will officially assume her position.

It is noteworthy that Salma Butt is a member of the Punjab Assembly and has been decided to be included in the provincial cabinet. However, details of her ministry or portfolio are not included in the order.
