New Delhi: (RightNow) The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has demanded the resignation of India’s Chief Election Commissioner, Gyanesh Kumar. The party has warned of nationwide protests if the resignation is not submitted within 48 hours.

CJP founder Abhijit Deepke presented three demands during a press conference. These include the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner, legal action, and the temporary suspension of all elections.

Party co-convener Sourav Das added that the number of party supporters is increasing in case of non-participation in the protest. He alleged that the BJP’s vote bank has increased in some states.

The significance of this issue lies in the fact that opposition and other political parties are also objecting to the Election Commission’s decisions. They claim that changes in voter lists are biased.

It is noteworthy that Indian opposition parties have previously objected to voter lists. The Congress has also alleged that changes in voter lists could affect opposition voters.
