Washington: (RightNow) A US federal court has lifted President Donald Trump’s ban on three media outlets. Judge Timothy Kelly has ordered the restoration of White House access for journalists from CNN, MS Now, and Politico.

The court stated that barring journalists from the White House could conflict with the Constitution. The judge also prohibited the administration from enforcing the ban for another 14 days.

President Trump imposed the ban on these media outlets on September 18. The outlets claimed it violated freedom of expression and press.

Judge Kelly noted that revoking press passes does not pose a national security threat. He found the administration’s arguments insufficient.

It is noteworthy that Trump had criticized these media outlets and expressed concerns over their reporting when explaining the ban.
