Adiala Jail inmates petition for medical facilities equal to Imran Khan’s, citing Supreme Court order.
Islamabad: (RightNow) Three inmates from Adiala Jail have approached the constitutional court demanding medical facilities similar to those provided to Imran Khan. They have filed a petition in the federal constitutional court, which has been officially numbered.
The petitioners have challenged the Islamabad High Court’s decision that granted medical facilities to the PTI founder. They argue for equal treatment under Article 25 of the Constitution.
The petition states that the Supreme Court ordered Imran Khan’s transfer to Shifa International for treatment, and they seek the same medical facility.
The inmates also request the facility to communicate via WhatsApp with overseas contacts, similar to Imran Khan. The federal constitutional court has assigned separate numbers to the three appeals.
It is noteworthy that the Supreme Court ordered Imran Khan’s transfer to Shifa International on August 18, prompting these inmates to demand equal facilities.
