Muzaffarabad: (RightNow) The new government of Pakistan Muslim League (N) in Azad Jammu and Kashmir has assigned portfolios to 8 ministers. This move follows the cabinet formation to expedite governmental affairs.

The Department of Services and General Administration has issued a notification regarding the distribution of ministerial portfolios. Raja Saqib Majeed has been assigned the Department of Energy and Water Resources, while other ministers have been given various departments.

The new ministers have begun preparations to assume their responsibilities. The appointment of cabinet members is expected to make governmental operations more efficient.

It is noteworthy that Prime Minister Iftikhar Gilani has retained key departments until the elections for the seven seats of the Poonch Division and the potential expansion of the cabinet.
