Khawaja Asif criticizes PPP’s dual stance on Seraiki province and SindhDesh, highlighting power transfer issues.
Islamabad: (RightNow) Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif states that PPP shows leniency towards the Seraiki province. However, when discussing more provinces or administrative units, the mention of SindhDesh arises.
Khawaja Asif, in a statement on X, claims that there are other reasons behind PPP’s dual policy. The 18th Amendment aimed at power devolution, but it was not implemented.
He further mentions that the concentration of power in the current system has rendered it obsolete. Regardless of labels, the transfer of power is inevitable.
It is noteworthy that Prime Minister’s Advisor on Political Affairs, Rana Sanaullah, stated that according to PML-N, discussions on new provinces are premature and unnecessarily heated.
Previously, resolutions passed in the Sindh Assembly have been approved, and the National Assembly has been targeted on this matter. This issue holds significant importance for PPP.
