Riyadh: (RightNow) Saudi Arabia condemns the attack on its oil tanker ‘Sudar’ in the Strait of Hormuz. Saudi officials blame Iran for the attack, which resulted in the death of 2 crew members.

According to the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the tanker was passing through the Strait of Hormuz when the attack occurred. It is considered a dangerous manifestation of rising tensions in the region. Saudi Arabia also condemns Iran’s targeting of Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait.

Saudi Arabia warns Iran and fully supports measures to ensure security. It urges all parties to reduce tensions and ensure the safety of global maritime routes.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls for respect for international laws and a return to peaceful negotiations. This demand is made to secure global shipping and energy supply.

It is noteworthy that 2 Filipino sailors were killed in the attack. Authorities report that there were also attacks on two Saudi supertankers the previous day, including the Saudi-flagged Sudar and the Liberia-flagged Senegal Prosperity.
