Riyadh: (RightNow) A Houthi attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh resulted in 1 death and 11 injuries. This attack follows a previous incident on Saturday, which left 13 dead and over 300 injured.

Saudi coalition forces reported that on Sunday, an unidentified projectile targeted Terminal 4 of the airport, igniting a fire. The Saudi air defense system intercepted a cruise missile near the airport, while a drone was destroyed in the eastern province.

According to Saudi Civil Defense, emergency alerts were issued in Abha on Monday morning, but the threat was later declared neutralized. Saudi authorities have ordered continued security inspections at airports to prevent further attacks.

These attacks occur amid Saudi Arabia’s operations against Houthis in Yemen. The death toll from attacks targeting airports in Saudi Arabia has reached 18, including foreign nationals.

It is noteworthy that the Houthis have claimed responsibility for the attacks against Saudi Arabia. They have also claimed to target other Saudi installations. Saudi-backed Yemeni government forces have launched retaliatory actions.
