New York: (RightNow) The mathematical features of the football used in the World Cup have been revealed. The National Museum of Mathematics in New York hosted a special session titled ‘The Secret Geometry of Football’.
Dr. Chaim Goodman-Strauss led the session, explaining the significant role of mathematics in the design of the football. He stated that the traditional 32-panel ball is a prime example of mathematical balance.
Adidas’ Hannes Schaffke announced that the new ball ‘Treunda’ represents the three host countries. Unlike traditional straight shapes, this ball features wavy panels.
