KDA has formed an inquiry committee to investigate alleged fraud in Karachi plots worth 1 billion rupees.
Karachi: (RightNow) Alleged fraud involving 8 valuable commercial and residential plots worth 1 billion rupees has been uncovered in Karachi. The Director General of Karachi Development Authority (KDA) has promptly formed an inquiry committee.
Sources reveal that a network of fake files is gaining strength within the Karachi Development Authority. Retired and private officers are running this network with the support of departmental officials.
The DG KDA has established an investigative committee to probe the fraud in plots located in Gulistan-e-Johar, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Federal B Area, and Surjani Town. The Director of Land has been instructed to submit a report within 15 days.
The plots involved in the inquiry are reportedly valued at over 1 billion rupees. These plots were disposed of through fake auctions.
It is noteworthy that citizens have demanded that the investigations be conducted by NAB and FIA. Senior officials have termed the investigations as ridiculous.
