Kyiv: (Right Now News) A Russian missile attack on Ukraine’s capital Kyiv has resulted in 24 deaths and over 100 injuries. Residential buildings were targeted with missiles and drones.

Ukrainian officials reported the attack occurred a day before a crucial NATO summit, spreading fear across the region. Multiple explosions were heard during the ballistic missile alert, lighting up the sky.

Following the attack, an emergency situation was declared in various parts of Kyiv. Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky criticized Russia and appealed to NATO countries for assistance.

The attack coincides with a NATO meeting in Turkey, where significant decisions on strengthening Ukraine’s air defense are expected. NATO’s chief has assured full support to Ukraine.

It is noteworthy that this is Russia’s second major attack in a week. Ukraine has again appealed for American Patriot air defense missiles.
