Gilgit-Baltistan: (Right Now News) PTI has alleged election fraud ahead of the Gilgit-Baltistan elections. The party expressed concerns over the deployment of additional security personnel.

The party stated that there are already 5,600 local police officers in the area. However, more than 13,000 additional personnel have been deployed from outside, which the party questioned.

PTI leader Sheikh Waqas Akram said this deployment might not be for peace but to influence voting. According to him, internet and landline services have also been affected.

He mentioned that PTI workers in Gilgit-Baltistan are under pressure, facing difficulties in their election campaign. Sheikh Waqas Akram noted that personnel from various forces, including Punjab Police, have been deployed.

It is noteworthy that elections in Gilgit-Baltistan are scheduled for June 7, 2026. These elections were delayed by four months due to harsh weather conditions.
