Mumbai: (Right Now News) A British broadcast engineer mysteriously passed away during the Indian Premier League 2026 in Mumbai.

According to police, 76-year-old John William Langford was found unconscious in a hotel room in South Mumbai. The hotel management immediately transferred him to Bombay Hospital, where doctors confirmed his death.

Officials stated that Langford was serving as a broadcast engineer with the BCCI and was in India for IPL match coverage.

Police authorities mentioned that the initial post-mortem report did not reveal any suspicious findings, but a case has been registered for further investigation.

It is noteworthy that IPL 2026 began on March 28 and will continue until May 31.
