Manila: (RightNow) Two Philippine Air Force training planes collided in Batangas province, resulting in the death of four pilots. Following the incident, the Air Force has suspended all flights of this model.

The collision occurred at Fernando Air Base, south of Manila, involving two SF-260 aircraft. No other casualties or injuries have been reported.

According to the Philippine Air Force, investigations are underway, and the entire fleet of SF-260 aircraft has been grounded until the investigation is complete.

This incident raises concerns about the Philippine Air Force’s training program, as previous accidents have questioned their safety measures.

It is noteworthy that in May, another SF-260 aircraft crashed in the Philippines, killing two pilots. The Philippine Air Force had also used this aircraft against militants in 2017.
