Peshawar: (RightNow) The Peshawar High Court has scheduled hearings for petitions against the imposition of Governor Rule and emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. These petitions are set for hearing on October 20.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan and Advocate Salman Khan have filed separate petitions. The federal government, President, Prime Minister, and Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are named as respondents.

The petitions challenge the actions of Governor Rule and emergency. Both petitions are scheduled for hearing on October 20.

This matter is significant as it could impact the political situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Barrister Gohar has requested the court to expedite the hearing.

It is noteworthy that Barrister Gohar filed the petition through Advocate Ali Zaman on Wednesday. He stated that if the emergency is based on deteriorating conditions, similar measures are needed in other provinces.
