London: (RightNow) A 99-year-old British woman, Helga Duffy, has set a world record as the oldest wing walker. She accomplished this feat by standing on the wings of a small aircraft in Cirencester, Gloucestershire.

Helga Duffy performed the wing walking at RFC Rendcomb Airfield. Wing walking involves standing on the wings of a flying aircraft, considered a dangerous stunt.

Helga was inspired in 2026 after seeing her 97-year-old niece, Betty Bromage, perform wing walking. Bromage had recovered from a stroke and broke her own Guinness World Record.

Helga described the experience as strange, stating she was scared but also very excited while standing on the plane.

It is noteworthy that Helga received a certificate from Guinness World Records. Her nieces called her a brave woman, while Betty Bromage joked about breaking the record at 100.
