Islamabad: (RightNow). Federal Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar states that the authority to confirm the emergency and governor rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa lies with the assembly.

He explained in the National Assembly that there has been an increase in terrorism incidents in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over the past 4 months. He added that when law and order deteriorate, it is essential to prioritize the state over political matters.

Azam Nazeer Tarar mentioned that by October 2025, there were over 3,700 terrorism incidents, yet Khyber Pakhtunkhwa lacks a forensic laboratory. He noted that the CTD structure is incomplete, and the Chief Minister was focused on politics.

He emphasized that if provincial matters are conducted outside constitutional procedures, the governor writes to the president. The president expressed satisfaction by approving the prime minister’s advice.

It is noteworthy that intelligence reports highlighted a significant gap between PTI’s confrontational narrative and public reaction.
