Kurram: (RightNow) According to Pakistan Army’s public relations, an infiltration attempt by militants at the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Kurram district was thwarted. In this operation, 12 militants were killed, while Subedar Hidayat Aman was martyred in the exchange of fire.

ISPR reported that firing was also conducted from Afghan Taliban posts to assist the militants. Pakistani security forces effectively neutralized all the militants. The Afghan Taliban government has failed to curb terrorism.

The statement said Pakistani security forces are committed to eliminating terrorism backed by foreign entities. The President praised the security forces’ operation and paid tribute to the sacrifice of Subedar.

President Asif Ali Zardari stated that the Afghan government’s support for terrorist elements poses a severe threat to regional peace. Pakistan is determined to defend its borders and remains steadfast in the fight against terrorism.

It is noteworthy that there has been an increase in infiltration incidents at the Pakistan-Afghanistan border recently. Security forces have taken effective action against this, and the nation holds their sacrifices in high regard.
