Peshawar: (RightNow) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) long march is advancing from Khyber towards Peshawar. Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Suhail Afridi, has urged the public to join the revolution.

Following unsuccessful negotiations with the federal government, PTI initiated the long march from Lakki Marwat on October 4. The march reached Khyber, halted at Detour Road, and then proceeded to Peshawar.

Chief Minister Afridi stated that despite the Prime Minister’s offer for talks, PTI seeks unconditional negotiations. Reports suggest partial school closures in Peshawar due to the march.

The significance of the long march lies in the public enthusiasm it has generated in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Afridi has advised the public to continue peaceful protests.

It is noteworthy that the Prime Minister had offered PTI renewed talks if protests ceased. However, PTI demanded unconditional terms for negotiations.
