Suhail Afridi changes long march route to start from Khyber, PM offers conditional talks.
Peshawar: (RightNow) An unexpected change has been announced in the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) long march. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Suhail Afridi stated that the march will now head towards the Khyber district.
During a speech in Kohat, Suhail Afridi said the route was changed due to the hospitality wishes of the Khyber people. The march will now start from Khyber and later proceed to Peshawar.
The Chief Minister has instructed supporters to remain peaceful. He compared the march to a cricket test match, indicating many stages are yet to come.
It is noteworthy that the march, initially starting from Lakki Marwat, has now passed through Karak and Kohat, entering the next phase.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has offered conditional talks to PTI. He stated that the government is ready for negotiations if the sit-ins are ended.
