New York: (RightNow) Stroke cases are alarmingly increasing among young adults. Recent research reveals a significant rise in stroke cases over the past 30 years.

According to the study, from 1993 to 2020, the number of stroke cases per 100,000 people increased from 33.9 to 62.2. High blood pressure and diabetes are primary causes of the rising stroke cases.

Experts state that adopting a healthy diet and engaging in physical activity are essential to reduce stroke risk. They advise avoiding smoking and maintaining controlled blood pressure.

The increasing stroke rate can severely impact young adults’ lives. Experts note that this condition affects not only the elderly but also young individuals.

It is noteworthy that in May 2026, a study from China indicated that weak hand grip and slow walking could also increase stroke risk.
