New York: (RightNow) Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian addressed the United Nations General Assembly, stating that Iran is not a terrorist nation. He claimed that the US and Israel attacked, and Iran only took defensive actions.

He emphasized that nuclear energy is part of Iran’s development and is used for peaceful purposes. The President clarified that no country should have a monopoly on nuclear energy.

The Iranian President stressed the importance of free navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. He stated that while the US and Israel targeted Iran, Iran did not target civilian areas.

Masoud Pezeshkian rejected the allegations against Iran, stating that the Iranian people are protesting against US and Israeli aggression. He affirmed Iran’s right to self-defense.

It is noteworthy that US President Donald Trump warned Iran of complete destruction if a peace agreement is not reached. Despite negotiations, Iran accused Israel of sabotaging the memorandum of understanding.
