Peshawar: (RightNow) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has declared the cabinet-approved Police Act unconstitutional. He stated that he will not approve it and will raise objections.

Faisal Karim Kundi emphasized that no governor or chief minister can take illegal actions. He further mentioned that the PTI government’s confusion is evident as they aim to control the police.

He added that PTI’s narrative was for a non-political police, but now they want to make the police subservient. The governor has strongly objected to this.

The governor also stated that if the President and federal government decide on governor’s rule, no further discussion is needed.

It is noteworthy that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government recently approved the Police Act, which has faced objections from various political circles.
