Beijing: (RightNow) Huawei and Xiaomi have launched foldable phones in China, strengthening their market position. This launch coincides with Apple’s upcoming new iPhone series.

Huawei introduced the Mate X T2 series, which unfolds into a tablet-like screen. The starting price for these phones is 19,999 Chinese Yuan.

Huawei executive Richard Yu stated that setting the phone’s price is challenging due to rising memory costs. The company has used new technologies that increase production costs.

Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi 18 Fold phone, starting at 10,999 Yuan. The company claims it is lighter than Apple’s iPhone Pro Max.

It is noteworthy that Samsung is also a key player in the foldable phone market. Huawei holds the largest share in China’s smartphone market, with a significant lead in foldable phone sales.
