According to Italy’s National Institute of Geophysics, the earthquake was recorded at 7:46 PM. The epicenter was the volcanic area of Campi Flegrei, with a depth of 3 kilometers.

The Italian Fire Service reported minor damage to buildings in Naples. No emergency aid requests have been received.

Local authorities suspended railway and metro services, and power was affected in various areas. People evacuated their homes following the quake.

It is noteworthy that Campi Flegrei is a seismically active area with increased earthquake activity. Severe earthquakes have occurred here in the 1980s.
