Lahore: (RightNow) Monsoon rains across various parts of the country have led to accidents in Punjab. In Lahore, roof collapses have resulted in the deaths of 3 individuals and left several injured.
Various areas in Punjab have been severely affected by the heavy rains. In Lahore, old Anarkali, Krishan Nagar, Lakshmi Chowk, and other areas have experienced water accumulation. According to WASA, water has stagnated in several parts of the city during the rain.
In Sindh, the water level in the Indus River is continuously rising. At Guddu Barrage in Kashmore, the water level has already increased. Karachi’s municipal corporation has declared a rain emergency.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, alerts have been issued due to the risk of landslides and flash floods. PDMA has forecasted rains to continue until July 27.
It is important to note that the monsoon rains are ongoing in the country. According to the Meteorological Department, this rain spell will last until July 27.
