Lahore: (RightNow) Punjab extends Section 144 enforcement for another 30 days. A complete ban on flying drones in open spaces remains in effect.

The Home Department imposes this ban on drone usage due to security concerns. Limited use of small drones is allowed indoors in halls and marquees.

Organizers are responsible for the safe use of drones at indoor events. Intelligence and law enforcement agencies are exempt from this ban.

A Safe Drone Usage Committee is formed at the district level for written permission for safe drone use. This committee will permit drone usage for agricultural, irrigation, and research purposes.

It is noteworthy that Section 144 is enforced in Punjab to maintain law and order due to security concerns.
