Islamabad: (RightNow) Heavy rains and flash floods have claimed 12 lives across various regions in Pakistan. The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued an alert for potential threats until July.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, rains and flash floods have damaged 14 houses and injured 15 people. Affected areas include Peshawar, Landi Kotal, and others.

Rescue 1122 has relocated over 100 vehicles to safer locations in Landi Kotal. In Nowshera, 12 people were rescued with no reported casualties.

In Chitral, floodwaters have severely damaged infrastructure, affecting standing crops and homes. In Neelum, two people are missing due to landslides.

It is important to note that NDMA has warned of potential flood surges in northeastern Balochistan and other areas. The public is advised to avoid unnecessary travel.
