Pakistan’s judiciary shows significant progress, resolving millions of cases in 6 months, reducing pending cases.
Islamabad: (RightNow) Significant progress has been made in the performance of Pakistan’s judicial system. Millions of cases have been resolved in the past 6 months.
According to official statistics, over 2.9 million cases were successfully resolved in the first half of 2025. The performance of the judicial system has shown improvement.
Between January 1 and June 30, 2025, there were 2,371,227 pending cases in the judicial system. During this period, 2,807,674 new cases were registered, while 2,901,440 cases were resolved.
As a result of this progress, the number of pending cases decreased by 100,643. This improvement in judicial performance is attributed to the efforts of higher courts and district judiciary.
It is noteworthy that the number of pending cases increased in the High Court and district courts of Balochistan. In other provinces, the rate of case resolution improved.
