Wana: (RightNow) Security forces successfully thwarted a major terror attempt in Wana through an intelligence-based operation. In South Waziristan’s Wana (Ghwakhwa) area, an explosive-laden vehicle was destroyed before a suicide attack could be executed.

According to security sources, the explosives in the vehicle were intended for a significant attack. The operation ensured the protection of citizens’ lives and property with professional expertise.

Sources revealed that security forces monitored the vehicle for three days. It was targeted away from populated areas, resulting in the destruction of the vehicle and a motorcycle, one foreigner killed, and five injured.

Security sources stated that this operation demonstrates the forces’ strong stance against peace-threatening elements. This success is a significant step in the fight against terrorism.
