Rohit Sharma wanted to continue playing ODI cricket, but selectors decided to prioritize young players for the next World Cup.
This decision is expected to provide consistent opportunities to young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal. The Indian team is being formed according to future needs.
It is noteworthy that after the England series, Rohit will not be part of the team’s future plans. The match at Lord’s on July 19 could be his last ODI match.
