According to the Meteorological Department, Islamabad is expected to experience hot and humid weather today. Rain with thunderstorms is anticipated in Rawalpindi, Murree, Galyat, Chakwal, Jhelum, and Lahore. Rain is also predicted in Azad Kashmir, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Continuous rains pose a risk of landslides in hilly areas and flooding in local streams. Relevant authorities have been instructed to remain alert. Most districts in Sindh will experience intense heat, while light rain in Karachi may reduce the heat intensity.
Thunderstorms with rain are forecasted in Khuzdar and Zhob in Balochistan, while other areas will mostly remain hot. The Meteorological Department advises avoiding travel to northern and hilly regions.
