Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has launched a digital driving license, offering modern convenience to citizens.
Peshawar: (Right Now News) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has introduced its first digital driving license service. Citizens can now store their licenses on mobile phones, eliminating the need for paper licenses.
According to Chief Traffic Officer Dr. Zahid Ullah, this service is provided through the ‘Rabta’ app. Citizens can enter their ID card and driving license numbers to obtain a legally valid digital license.
He stated that during traffic checks, the e-license on mobile phones will be accepted. This removes the necessity of carrying a paper license at all times.
Officials say this initiative is part of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Traffic Police’s digital governance policy. It aims to provide citizens with modern, fast, and convenient services.
It is noteworthy that Peshawar Traffic Police had previously introduced online visa verification for driving licenses. Dr. Zahid Ullah mentioned that more services will be shifted to digital platforms.
